Help with Tax Bills Falling Due
As part of a raft of measures announced tonight by the Chancellor aimed at lessening the impact of the Coronavirus outbreak, more assistance has been made available to businesses struggling to meet their tax obligations.
While there are specific measures in place for both VAT and July self-assessment tax liabilities – in brief, a three month VAT payment deferral and a six-month deferral of July payments on account – additional measures are to be implemented for other taxes.
Those businesses struggling to meet their tax obligations, owing to financial difficulty precipitated by the coronavirus pandemic, will be able to make contact with HMRC in order to discuss a payment plan arrangement.
If you are in this position, we strongly encourage you to make contact with us in order to discuss the specifics of the liability and your business situation, so that we can advise on the best course of action.
